Spring clean your apartment!
Spring is here! And with the current state of affairs, many of us are practicing social distancing and this has us running out of things to keep us occupied. Why not take on that one project you have been dreading and spring clean that apartment!
Here are some tips to get you started.
Sort through clothes. As the weather is getting warmer and you want to put away the heavy sweaters and long-sleeved shirts, make room by donating anything you don’t want to wear anymore instead of letting it take up space in your dressers and closets.
Time to clean out that fridge. Sometimes we look at the fridge and say “I’ll get that later” well today is the day. Time to throw out the container of questionable leftovers and make room for something else. Use a mixture of vinegar and water to get any spills and stains removed and wipe down everything with a rag. You’ll feel better once you do it.
Organize! Clean out that nightstand/junk door/closet that you have been meaning too. You might go down memory lane or find something useful you completely forgot about.
Bedding. Change those sheets out and flip that mattress. You might want to look under your bed too and find that missing sock or shoe that was kicked under there.
Change that plastic shower curtain. When was the last time you did this? Was it more than 3 months ago? Then change it ASAP.
Move and clean behind furniture. Vacuum behind the couch and wipe the dust and cobwebs from behind the wall. You may want to rotate your couch cushions and vacuum them as well with the attachments. You might even find some loose change or that missing remote control.
Clean the blinds. Wipe down the dust on the inside and outside. If you have curtains hung up, you might want to throw those into the laundry as well. A fresh and clean new window might give you a better perspective on things.
Spring cleaning is a great way to help you use that kept up energy. Is there a spring-cleaning routine you complete every year?
